Georgia investigators identify woman whose remains were found in a dumpster 35 years ago

MILLEN, Ga. (TCD) -- Using genealogy technology, investigators recently identified a woman whose remains were found in a suitcase in 1988. According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), on Sunday, Feb. 14, 1988, the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI’s assistance in a death investigation after discovering a victim encased in plastic and duct tape.
