It is essential to understand that Original Medicare is a health insurance program provided by the federal government. It is available for individuals 65 or older and those with specific disabilities such as ALS and end-stage kidney disease. It includes Part A, which covers your (hospital insurance) and Part B which covers your (medical insurance) and works on a fee-for-service basis. Fee-for-service (FFS) insurance is when your Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage Plan pays the medical provider or facility a fee for the service they rendered to you.
